Housekeeping in Chrome Portable

I am very fond of portable apps because it limits potential messes with my windows registry -I suppose the reason why many of us use portable apps! I've been using Chrome Portable (64bits) for ages, I have several profiles in my portable installation each with different plugins which I use for different purposes (work, leisure, etc)

I have two questions:

1.) I would like to make sure there is no malware/other unwanted data in my Chrome storage/data folders that might be slowing down and/or provoking strange behaviors in my Chrome. I've heard of the Chrome Cleanup Tool... but it doesn't work on Chrome Portable, is there any way to sort this out? is this the tool I should be using in the first place, or is there a better one? For info: I don't have any symptom of a potential malware, it's simply a maintenance measure.

2.) The File System, Local Storage and Session Storage folders of my portable profiles keep getting bigger and bigger over time (+300Mb) Should I be concerned? Is there a way to "clean" (aka reduce the size) of these folders WITHOUT loosing my current configuration (=passwords, history, etc)?? I have the plugin Click&Clean which I use from time to time, but the folders do not get really reduced much in size.

Thanks
